THE STEWART FAMILY OF UNION ISLAND
Imperiled by the storm severe
The slave ship with the cargo sent.
To reach St. Vincent it was bent,
But wind and rain and thunder roared.
The slaves were shackled and abused,
Rebelled, and fought not caring ought.
The ship unmanned left to the elements
Could not survive the hell-bent waves
Alas it sunk into the ocean
The shackled slaves down, down, they went
The slaves who escaped from their shackles,
They fought for food their system needed.
And free to swim to land if seen,
Believing they could live or die.
Embracing life, defying death
They swam like fishes to survive,
And seeing land as daylight came
They gained new strength they strive to live
Then lo behold those who survived.
Arrived bedraggled but alive.
The union of the slave survivorss,
Bedraggled, naked, hungry and tired.
They formed a pact to unionized.
Together they'll live; they'll live till they die.
Building their huts and swimming for fishes,
Eating sea-weeds, oysterss and fishes,
Finding beehives for honey's sweet tastes,
From red earth clay they made goblets and dishes
Calabash trees the fruite picked and dried out,
For carrying water from watering spout.
The union of women and men must be met,
A council of rulers and laws they then set.
Respect for their elders the order was set.
We all must conform to the laws of the land.
Big drum, they will beat, the horn they will blow
To gather the natives as history shows.
No man is a slave the freedom was just,
We'll fight for our right we'll die if we must
God is our creator, in God we trust
William McDowald Stewart and Louisiana Wilson met
They seeded nine children six boys and three girls.
I'll name you the children, I shall and you must,
It's Prince John and Robert, Peter, Aaron, Immanuel.
The girls are so cute, boys, you must salute
Its Anne and Violet lookt out for Lucinda
The name how they changes, as they all got older,
The roles and performance is what they are under.
Prince is Bah Yout; John is Bah Offices: Robert is Bah Nattie

No find your grandpa, grandma and grand-grand
Her daughter sweet Emily was my granddmamma
and Dorices her daughter was my mama.
God bless all my family my cousins hereafter.
